I love to receive feedback from people who have chosen one of my artworks. Sometimes, people even send me a photograph of a finished painting hanging in their home, which is a lovely gesture. As an artist, I do get quite involved and attached to my artwork, and it’s always a good feeling to have a rapport with the people who have chosen one of them either for a gift or their own home.  My artwork is in private collections across the UK and internationally. I treasure the numerous testimonials from delighted customers, including people who have commissioned a unique artwork such as a pet portrait or special place. Here is just a small selection:

I undertake art commissions for a wide range of subjects, including portraits, pets, homes, gardens, a special location, etc. My style is colourist and contemporary rather than photo-realism. I aim to create a unique painting that captures the emotion and essence of my subject. It is a perfect gift for any occasion, or why not just treat yourself! Your photos need to be clear, good quality, well lit and in focus. If you can provide a few different ones it helps me to understand and connect better with the subject. The larger and better quality the photos, the better your finished painting will look. You can either post or email the photo(s) to me. Where appropriate, I will adapt the photo(s) to ensure the most attractive composition and discuss this with you, along with choice of colours, before starting the painting.

EXAMPLES OF WORK COMPLETED: You can be confident that many hours of work will go into your commission. I will complete the painting on good quality watercolour paper such as Saunders Waterford, or Bockingford, using professional artist quality paints. The painting will come complete with a bevelled ivory-white mount ready for you to frame. Below are a few examples of commissions.

INFO. I am an artist and I live in Halifax, West Yorkshire. I exhibit my paintings regularly at a number of galleries and venues across West Yorkshire. Also, my artwork has been selected for collections in UK, Europe, USA, Australia and New Zealand. In addition to original works of art, I also offer signed prints and greeting cards in different sizes. These are available through this website. Having had a passion for art since I was a child, I currently work from my studio in Halifax. Also, I have trained with some of the leading national and internationally known artists, who have influenced the development of my own personal style. I think it is important for an artist to keep learning and refreshing ideas. It is an exciting journey. Furthermore, I am attracted to  the play of light and color that completely changes the appearance of the environment, its people and wildlife. So many great artists have tried to capture the fascination of light in their work. Moreover I think it is one of the most exciting aspects of any painting. Consequently, I am always striving to reflect the impact of light and color into my own work. Especially nice are these kind words from customers. Furthermore these kind words so customer satisfaction. Because they are happy with their purchases you can expect the same. Due to workloads I need at least 2 weeks notice to complete a commission. However, please note that at busy times such as Xmas, a longer lead time is recommended. Therefore, please contact me as soon as possible.
